Beginning on Jan. 1, 2015, you will be able to stream the entire series of Friends on Netflix Canada I repeat: ALL OF THE FRIENDS IS COMING. (Janice voice: oh my god.)
Could this BE anymore exciting? To know me is to know my love of Friends and my ability to quote the show at the drop of a hat: “Joey doesn’t share food!” “Could I BE wearing anymore clothes” “THAT’S NOT EVEN A WORD.” Okay, I’ll stop.
In celebration of this very exciting streaming news, here are the 10 greatest Friends moments!
10. “My eyes, MY EYES”

There are too many Phoebe moments to mention. This list could just be Phoebe moments, but I have to go with this moment when she see’s Monica and Chandler making out for the first time in Ross’ apartment in season five.
9. Fat Monica

Courtney Cox is the only Friends actor that didn’t win an Emmy. Having rewatched the show several times, it’s a shame because while I love them all, Monica is pretty perfect and Cox is hilarious throughout. Fat Monica is my favourite and Fat Monica dancing is the best.
8. Ross Playing The Bagpipes

I know you’re all like: “NOT ROSS AND THE LEATHER PANTS,” or “ROSS AND HIS TEETH,” or “ROSS AND THE TAN.” Yes, those are great Ross moments but THIS is the funniest. Especially the blooper.
7. When Monica proposes to Chandler

Between all the candles, Monica crying, Chandler’s weight fluctuation when the scene was continued into the next season seven’s premiere, the other friends listening at the door… it’s a really sweet moment from the shows better couple (yes).
6. Pivot

Pivot. PIVOT. PIVOTTTT. What else do I need to say? The scene itself is great but, again, the blooper is even better.
5. Rachel’s Other Sister

This is my favourite episode of the entire series. Rachel’s other sister, Amy (played by Christina Applegate who won an Emmy for the appearance) stops by for Thanksgiving in season nine. Every one hits their beats and it’s just hilarious.
4. Gum would be perfection

Chandler gets stuck in an ATM vestibule with a famous model during a blackout in the city (sidebar: Phoebe’s “Blackout” song is also a great moment from this episode). She asks Chandler if he would like some gum. Chandler’s response? “Gum would be perfection.” And that’s how a whole generation has answered “would you like some gum” since.
3. Brad Pitt guest stars

Friends was filmed in front of a live audience, so when Brad Pitt guest starred in season eight’s Thanksgiving episode, “The One With The Rumor,” his entrance was met with screams from the audience that lasted several minutes. His guest appearance is perfect and a great example of how good guest appearances were during this period. This was before the time of True Detective and big-movie stars wanting to do TV, so it was a big deal. Also, the episode is just really funny.
2. They weren’t on a break

They weren’t. They just weren’t. Okay? No, this isn’t number one but it is a very close second. It is one of, if not, the most synonymous moment with the show and the scene that followed is just as memorable.
1. The Battle for the Apartments

The bottle episodes of Friends showed the show at it’s best. Having the gang all together to play the lottery, football or just to simply hang out was always a great chance to feature everyone and the character’s best moments. The show’s most iconic moment, arguably, is when the girls lost Monica’s apartment to Chandler and Joey in season four. And everything that ensued after, like Monica taking back the apartment, led for a string of great episodes and also Mrs. Chanandler Bong.
